Teaching Practice
Our medical centre is a teaching practice affiliated with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RCGPNZ). We are proud to support the training of future general practitioners by hosting GPEP1 registrars. As part of their training programme, registrars consult under supervision, contributing to high-quality patient care while gaining valuable clinical experience in a community setting.
GPEP Registrar
Dr Idris Anwar has joined the practice as a GP Registrar. He is under the supervision of Dr Debbie Taylor.
Nurse Practitioner
Renee McPhail is our Nurse Prescriber, who is completing her Nurse Practitioner Intern year, under the supervision of Dr Javier Stroud.
Otago students
Our practice is pleased to host fourth-year medical students from the University of Otago for one-day observational placements. During their time with us, students observe consultations and the day-to-day workings of general practice to gain insight into community-based healthcare. We are proud to support the education of future doctors while continuing to provide high-quality care to our patients.
