Skin Cancer Clinic
We Offer:
- Skin checks – top to bottom, back to front skin checks using dermoscopy and photography. We can look at single moles that concern you but always prefer to do thorough checks. We will keep a record so that we can easily track changes over time.
- Biopsy – we are happy to biopsy immediately following the check. We do this when we are seeking clinical diagnoses of suspicious lesions.
- Excision – We can remove most skin cancers depending on size and location. This will require a separate appointment.
- Non-surgical approach – We can also treat and oversee some early skin cancers with creams or liquid nitrogen.
Who:
Dr Neil Hughes is a GP with a special interest in skin cancer. He has been practicing in this field since 2013.
He has attended courses in medicine, surgery and dermoscopy with Skin Cancer College Australasia and most recently the Advanced Surgical Course with the NZ Skin Cancer Symposiums.
